Title 24: Time for an Update
Nancy McCoy Lighting Design
When Title 24 changed the way kitchens are lit, lighting design expert and national seminar speaker Nancy McCoy embraced the change. Award-winning principal of Northern California-based McCoy Lighting Design, Nancy says, "Lighting can make or break a space. My job is to support designers, and make their work look great.”
Nancy McCoy will take the lighting chapter of the new 2008 Residential Compliance Manual of Title 24, and turn it into laymen's language. The intent of Title 24 is to get us to use less energy which can be accomplished through fluorescent, LED, low voltage, dimmers, and vacancy sensors. Nancy will show you how to use these energy savers to create kitchens, bathrooms, and home designs that are successful, beautiful and meet code. As this code is effective April 200, this seminar is extremely timely.
Nancy McCoy, principal of McCoy Lighting Design, has been designing exciting residential and commercial lighting systems for over 30 years. Nancy's work has won numerous design awards and been published in Fine Home Building, Inspired House, Sunset, and Interiors and Hospitality. She has taught lighting seminars nationally for the American Lighting Association and spoken at national conferences for National Kitchen and Bath Association, National Association of Home Builders, Illuminating Engineering Society, and American Lighting Association. Nancy is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and The Lighting Forum.
